Managing the Show
In 2016 Black Swan Arts exhibited 56 different shows, with work from over 900 artists. This is an exceptional achievement for gallery operating predominantly on volunteer time. This can only be achieved if we can rely on all the people involved working together.
Each artist and curator has a responsibility to work with the Black Swan Arts office to manage and market their shows. In this section you will find the contracts, marketing requirements, the Preview evening set-up and Artist Talk and workshop advice.
Black Swan Arts’ primary marketing tool is the website, but each show will also be marketed via Social media, Twitter and Facebook. This is supported by print campaigns – posters and advertising and a monthly newsletter emailed to 4000 people. Our Preview evenings are a great success and we encourage artists to make sure that their collectors and personal contacts are invited.
Three months prior to a show taking place we need the following information to be submitted to ensure the smooth running of the process.
